Motherson Sumi forms JV with Ossia, to invest USD 14 million

According to the statement, Motherson Sumi Systems (MSSL), through its subsidiary Samvardhana Motherson Group Automotive Systems V (SMRP BV), has set up a joint venture with Ossia, innovator of the revolutionary Cota Real Wireless Power technology.

Motherson Innovations Company, a subsidiary of SMRPBV, will take a majority stake in the joint venture and strive to integrate the Ossia Cota electricity system into the interior of some of the world's most popular vehicles.

The newly created entity will be based in the United States, supported by the global organization of Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG). At global level, the joint venture will focus on the integration of Cota technology into a wide range of non-military passenger, commercial and transit vehicles.

The joint venture aims to use its systems in 2021 in private and public vehicles to not only provide continuous wireless power to the personal devices of the occupants, but also to drive different sensors in and on the vehicles themselves, including sensors. . brakes, pressure gauges and keys. fobs.

In addition, the JV will be the distributor of all Cota wireless power products in multiple vertical markets such as IoT and consumer equipment in India.
